On November 3, 2023, KMG hosted a pivotal event for international students: the International Student Career Success Panel & Informational Session. Held at the Richard M. and Maggie C. Daley Building, the event featured a panel of five successful DePaul alumni who shared their career experiences and insights into navigating job searches in the U.S.

The panelists, including professionals from Discover Financial Services, Mediasmith, GCM Grosvenor, Americaneagle.com, and AANA, discussed strategies for handling work authorization processes like CPT, OPT, and the H1B visa, as well as tips for securing internships and acing job interviews. Professor Zafar Iqbal, a Marketing professor with personal experience as an international student, moderated the panel, enriching the conversation with his expertise.

Following the panel, Professor Iqbal led an informational session that provided a deeper understanding of the job search process. The event, which ran from 11:45 AM to 2:30 PM CDT, was an exclusive opportunity for DePaul's international student body to gain career guidance and network with peers and professionals.
